WAVIT’s Second Annual "Pitching for Progress" Softball Tournament

Step Up to the Plate for a Great Cause!

Women in AV/IT (WAVIT) is stepping up to the plate once again with the second annual Northeast Regional Service Provider Softball Tournament, scheduled for May 17, 2025, at Palisades Ball Park in New Jersey. After last year's event knocked it out of the park, and this year’s tournament promises even more fun, fellowship, and philanthropy.

This year's lineup includes returning all-stars from Digital Labor Solutions, Exertis Almo, Neat, and Yorktel, ready to take the field for a cause that’s close to home plate—supporting women in the AV/IT industry. The friendly competition raises funds for WAVIT’s outreach initiatives, including our Waves of Influence Mentorship Program, which connects women with the resources and guidance they need to thrive in our industry.

"We’re thrilled to be heading into the second inning of what’s becoming one of our favorite annual traditions," said Gina Sansivero, WAVIT Founder, and Board Member. "This isn’t just about softball—it’s about bringing the industry together to champion inclusion, mentorship, and opportunity. Whether you’re swinging for the fences or cheering from the dugout, your support helps us expand our reach and knock down barriers for women in AV/IT."

Become a Sponsor – and Hit a Home Run for a Great Cause!
Organizations looking to round the bases with WAVIT can step up as sponsors and show their support in a big way.

  • Grand Slam Sponsor - $3,000
  • Pitching for Progress Sponsor - $2,000
  • Power Hitter Sponsorship – $1,000

Sponsors are encouraged to rally their teams and join us at the ballpark. Friends, families, and fans are all welcome—because it’s not just about who wins on the field, it’s about building a stronger bench for the entire AV/IT community.

Individual donations are also welcome and can be made via the WAVIT website at womeninavit.org by clicking the “Donate” button.

"You don’t have to be on the roster to make a difference," added Althea Ricketts, WAVIT President. "Bring your competitive spirit, cheer on your favorite team, or just come out for a day of food, fun, and connection. Together, we can level the playing field for women in tech and AV."
