Charter

The Wellness + Safety Committee shall support the physical, mental, and personal well-being of WAVIT members and the broader industry through education, awareness, advocacy, and resources. The committee will develop initiatives, content, and programs that encourage healthy habits, promote overall wellness, and provide meaningful support and resources for members.

The committee shall also raise awareness of personal and workplace safety and promote practices that help prevent violence, abuse, harassment, and other threats to individual well-being. It will support a culture in which members feel safe, respected, and empowered to speak up, while providing clear pathways for communicating potential violations of WAVIT’s Code of Conduct and accessing appropriate resources. Through education and advocacy, the committee will work to foster safer, healthier, and more supportive environments throughout the AVL and IT industries.
